FANDOM


Service 28 is a trunk route between Tampines and Toa Payoh, passing through Tampines East, Bedok Reservoir, Changi Road and Bartley Road. With service 8 and 31, it is one of three services between these two interchanges.

Demand is constantly high especially that it picks up from One KM/City Plaza, and goes to Tampines via Bedok and Kembangan.

2 single deckers will replace double deckers on service 28, during weekends.

  • 2 Oct 1995: Re-introduced as a service between Tampines and Bedok (loop) via Tampines Ave 9.
  • 29 Oct 2000: Merged with service 152 and extended to Toa Payoh Temporary Interchange.
  • 19 May 2002: Amended to air-conditioned Toa Payoh Interchange.
  • 23 Mar 2003: Amended to Tampines Avenue 9, Street 32 and 34 instead of Tampines Avenue 9.
  • 13 May 2003: Converted to fully air-con bus service with the deployment of Volvo B10TLs.
  • 13 Feb 2010: Calls at a pair of new bus stops along Bedok North Avenue 3 due to the opening of Linear Green @ Bedok, which replaces the SERS flats at Bedok South.
