Waterfront station is a station in Sentosa, Singapore, which is located at the Resorts World Sentosa.
History[]
Ferry Terminal Station is the first station along the discontinued Sentosa Monorail in Singapore which opened in 1987, five years after the original line was completed. This station is located near the current Sentosa Express' Waterfront Station and also where the Crane Dance performance in Resorts World Sentosa is located. After the station closed with the rest of the line in 2005, the interior of the station was left intact, and all that was done to show that the station was closed for good was that the old tracks were covered up. The station was later demolished when the Ferry Terminal was demolished to make way for Resorts World in 2007.
The original Waterfront did not open for service before being demolished in December 2007, less than a year after the monorail line's opening, to make way for the construction of Resorts World Sentosa. The station was rebuilt and opened on 1 February 2010.
