Bukit Panjang Bus Interchange was a bus interchange serving Bukit Panjang New Town, Singapore. It was located diagonally opposite Bukit Panjang Plaza. The nearest station was the Bukit Panjang LRT/MRT.
Since 16 December 2012, all services originating from the current bus interchange had been re-routed as it has been closed to make way for the development of the Bukit Panjang Integrated Transport Hub. The Hub is expected to be completed in 2015.
Redevelopments[]
The current bus interchange will be developed into a new integrated transport hub in 2015. The new air-conditioned bus interchange will be integrated with the existing Bukit Panjang LRT station, upcoming Bukit Panjang MRT station as well as retail, F&B and residential developments co-located on the same site. It will provide commuters, residents and shoppers with easy access to the bus and rail network. Commuters in nearby residential developments and malls can look forward to running errands or shopping conveniently and comfortably, before transferring to their connecting buses or trains.
Route amendments[]
Due to the redevelopments of the bus interchange, route amendments were made.
Service 75, 184, 700, 700A, 920, 922 and 972 start and end along Bukit Panjang Road. Service 176, 975 and 971E start and end along Jelebu Road. Service 970 starts at Bukit Panjang LRT station and terminates opposite Bukit Panjang Plaza. Service 75 starts at Bukit Panjang Plaza and end along Jelebu Road.
As for Service 177 and 180, both services converted into loop services. Service 177 loops around Upper Bukit Timah Road while Service 180 loops around Bukit Panjang Road.
New Interchange[]
The interchange took over most services from Bukit Panjang Temporary Bus Park with the exception of Bus Services 75, 184 and 700/A. These bus services are expected to remain at Bukit Panjang Temporary Bus Park likely until the completion of Gali Batu Bus Terminal. In addition, Bus Service 971E (which previously terminated at Bukit Panjang Bus Interchange) no longer calls at the new Interchange.
Service 180 was later amended into Bukit Panjang Bus Interchange on 25 Feb 2018, more than 5 months after the opening of the new Integrated Transport Hub.
