Ang Mo Kio GRC is a six-member GRC in Singapore. The constituency encompasses the majority of Ang Mo Kio (Teck Ghee, Cheng San, Yio Chu Kang, Chong Boon and a few of Kebun Baru, the rest of it is under Nee Soon GRC), Jalan Kayu, Serangoon North, northern part of Hougang and the western part of Fernvale.
In the 2001 general election, the constituency was enlarged to include most parts of the Cheng San Group Representation Constituency, while during the general election in 2006, the Yio Chu Kang division – where the centre of Ang Mo Kio town is located – was hived off as a Single Member Constituency (SMC). In 2011, Yio Chu Kang was returned to Ang Mo Kio GRC, while the Sengkang West division was carved out into an SMC, which till today is still managed by the Ang Mo Kio Town Council.
Nee Soon South had been part of the constituency until 2011 and Kebun Baru had been part of the constituency until 2015 - both of them transferred to Nee Soon GRC. In place is Aljunied-Hougang in 2011 and Sengkang South in 2015.
To prevent confusion of the new Sengkang GRC's division, Sengkang South, the existing division is renamed to Fernvale in 2020. In the 2020 elections, Kebun Baru and Yio Chu Kang became SMCs while the GRC absorbed the Fernvale portion of Sengkang West SMC. In return, the Anchorvale portion of Sengkang West SMC was formed into the newly-created Sengkang Group Representation Constituency, and Ang Mo Kio GRC's seats were reduced by one to five seats.
Ang Mo Kio GRC is led by the third Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong. The GRC had been held by the PAP since the formation and have not been turned to opposition all the time. Since 2011, these were contested by Reform Party, the most famous is Roy Ngerng in 2015. In 2020, it was then moved over to Kenneth Jeyaretnam.
From 2015 to 2020, Koh Poh Koon has been co-leading the GRC until the boundaries were redrawn, and he was being moved over to Tampines GRC.
